초록1 본 연구는 공정공시제도가 시행된 2002년부터 2011년까지의 상장기업을 분석대상으로 하여, 시계열모형에 성장률과 재무제표의 구성정보를 반영한 모형(이하 매출성장구성비모형)과 경영자 및 재무분석가의 예측치를 비교분석하였다. 실증분석 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 경영자와 재무분석가의 경영성과 예측치는 실제치보다 과대 예측되지만, 매출성장구성비모형에 의한 경영성과의 예측치는 실제치보다 과소 예측되는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 매출성장구성비모형에 의한 경영성과의 예측오차율은 경영자와 재무분석가의 경영성과의 예측오차율보다 낮은 것으로 나타나, 매출성장구성비모형의 예측력이 가장 우월한 것으로 검증되었다.
본 연구는 전체기업에 적용이 가능한 매출성장구성비모형에 의한 이익예측정보를 통하여 경영자와 재무분석가의 이익예측에 의한 정보의 비대칭 문제를 완화할 수 있다는데 의의가 있다.
초록 2 This research conducted an empirical analysis for the companies whose managers and financial analysts made public notices of the sales and earnings forecasts, among the companies that were registered from 2002, when the fair public announcement system began, to 2011 excluding finance business companies, and compared methods that have a good prediction power. Also, to expand the analysis to the whole companies, comparison was made to the Sales Growth Composition Model to verify its accuracy of the earnings forecasts power. The result of empirical analysis shows that. Frist, the sales forecasts error ratio by the sales growth composition is lower than that by managers and financial analysts showing its superior prediction power of the sales. Second, the business performance prediction error ratio by the sales growth composition ratio is lower than that by managers and financial analysts showing its superior prediction power of the business performance. The contributions of this paper are as follows. It is possible to mitigate the issue of asymmetry of information caused by the profit prediction by managers and financial analysts, through the profit prediction information by the sales growth composition ratio model that is applicable to every company.
