초록1 본 연구에서는 기업조직의 신제품개발관련 역량, 품질경영활동 및 품질혁신성과의 구조 관계를 분석 검토한 후, 이들의 구조 관계에서 예산, 인력, 시간, 직무역량 4가지 여유자원의 조절 효과를 분석하였다. 이 분석은 향후 신제품개발 혁신 및 유지를 위한 지속적인 품질경영활동에 있어서 새로운 전략적 시사점을 모색하고자 하는 것이다. 가설을 검정하기 위해 먼저 각 여유자원의 평균값을 기준으로 여유자원이 부족한 집단(H:평균이상)과 다소 여유 있는 집단(L:평균미만)으로 구분하여 조절효과를 검정하였다. 검정 결과 매우 주목할 만한 결과를 얻었다. 분석 결과, 여유자원의 요소 특성에 따라서, 그리고 신제품개발관련 역량, 품질경영활동 및 품질혁신성과 구조 관계의 경로에 따라서 여유자원은 서로 다른 조절 효과를 보였다. 여유자원 중 인력과 시간 요소만 통계적으로 유의한 조절효과를 보였다. 특히, 인력 여유자원은 신제품개발관련 역량-품질경영활동 경로, 그리고 신제품개발관련 역량-품질혁신성과 경로에서 조절효과를 보였고, 시간 여유자원은 품질경영활동-품질혁신성과 경로에서 유의한 조절효과를 보였다. 인력 여유자원의 경우, 비록 엄격하지는 않지만 약한 ∩ 모양의 특성을 나타냈다. 그리고 시간 여유자원의 경우, 시간 여유자원이 부족한 집단일수록 품질경영활동에 박차를 가하여 성과를 내는 경향이 있으며, 시간 여유자원이 많으면 오히려 성과가 상대적으로 저하되는 품질경영활동 행보에서의 문제점을 확인할 수 있었다.
초록2 The purpose of this study is to seek some new strategic implications by analyzing the moderating effect of slack resources such as budget, manpower, time, and capabilities on the relationship among the NPD(new product development) capability, QM(quality management) implementation and quality performance. The results of this study are as follows: First, the researcher find the statistically significant moderating effect on two slack resources, manpower and time. Second, higher NPD capability has significant positive influence(i.e. strictly increasing) to quality performance in high manpower slack resources group(i.e. over mean). But, higher NPD capability has non-significant negative influence(i.e. monotonically decreasing) to quality performance in low manpower slack resources group(i.e. under mean). This pattern is the weakly ∩ type. This means that the researcher will find the optimal slack resource level of the manpower in operating the revolutionary management. Third, the QM implementation activities are very strong positive(i.e. strictly increasing) according to the degree of time slack resources in the high slack resources group(i.e. over mean), and weakly positive(i.e. strictly increasing) in the low group(i.e. under mean).
