초록1 본 연구는 비정규직과 정규직사이에 존재하는 임금격차가 사업체규모별로 달라질 수 있다는 전제하에서 고용형태간 임금격차를 추정하고자 하였다. 특히 고용형태의 선택에 있어서 존재할 수 있는 선택편의와 통제변수들에서 발생할 수 있는 내생성을 적절히 제어하기 위하여 매칭기법(matching method)을 활용하였다. 그 결과 매칭기법을 적용한 표본에서 고용형태간 임금격차는 작아진다는 보편적인 연구결과가 도출되었으나, 사업체규모별로는 차이가 존재함을 확인할 수 있었다. 세부적으로는 중기업규모에서 고용형태간 임금격차가 가장 작게 나타났으며, 대규모와 소규모 사업체에서는 전체평균값보다 더 큰 격차를 보여주었다. 추가적으로 교호항을 이용하여 성별, 학력에서 발생하는 고용형태간 임금격차를 추정하였다. 먼저 중규모와 소규모 사업체는 남성에서 고용형태간 임금격차가 크게 나타났지만, 대규모 사업체는 오히려 여성에서 그 격차가 크게 나타나 대규모사업체에 종사하는 여성에게 정규직 임금프리미엄이 존재하고 있었다. 그리고 학력과 고용형태의 교호항 추정에서는 고학력자의 경우 고용형태간 임금격차가 크게 나타나 정규직 임금프리미엄이 고학력자에게 현저하게 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 현상은 중규모보다는 대규모와 소규모 사업체에서 더욱 심하게 나타났다. 우리의 분석결과를 통해 사업체규모별로 고용형태간 임금격차 해소를 위한 정책적 제언이 제공될 것으로 기대된다.
초록2 This paper is to investigate regular-nonregular workers' wage differentials by firm size. Especially, we conduct matching methods appropriately in order to operate sample selection bias and endogenuity between control variables. In results, the wage differential among regular and nonregular workers is narrowed but confirmed slight difference of coefficients by firm size. While the wage differential on medium-size firms is the smallest, it on other size firms is bigger than the mean level.
Additionally, we estimate regular-nonregular workers' wage differentials in the sex and the education level using interaction terms. These results are as follows. First of all, we found that, on large-size firms, there exist a regular-nonregular wage differential in the female group. In contrast, the wage gap appears in the male group on medium- and small-size firms. Next, the interaction term of the education variable shows that, on large- and small-size firms, there exist a regular-nonregular wage differential in the high-educated group. Our results may be helpful to provide some useful policy approaches to reduce regular-nonregular wage differentials by firm size
