초록1 이 연구는 사회적 책임활동(CSR)을 수행하는 기업을 대상으로 기업의 특성이 사회적 책임 활동의 성과(CSP)에 미치는 영향을 검증하고자 하였다. 그리고 기업특성변수에 의해 추정된 가 차기연도 재무성과(CFP)에 미치는 효과도 확인해보고자 하였다. 기업특성변수로 기업지배구조(CG), 전년도 CSR 수상실적, 광고선전비와 경상개발비 지출수준을 고려하였고, 부채비율과 기업규모는 통제변수로 설정하였다. CSP는 경실련의 KEJI Index의 평가점수를 이용하였고 CFP는 ROA, EBITDA, Tobin Q로 구성하였다. 이 연구는 여유자원이론의 관점에서 전년도 재무성과를 도구변수(Instrumental Variable, IV)하여【2SLS 연립방정식모형】을 적용하여 가설을 검증하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, CG, 전년도 CSR 수상실적, 광고선전비와 경상개발비 지출수준, 기업규모는 CSP와 정(+)의 상관관계를 부채비율은 CSP와 음(-)의 상관관계를 보였다. 또한 추가분석에서 매출증감유형과 산업안전유형에 따른 차별적인 효과도 존재한다는 점도 확인할 수가 있었다. 둘째, 전년도 재무성과를 도구변수로 설정하여 기업특성과 통제변수의 영향을 받아 추정된 ? ???는 차기연도 CFP에 정(+)의 상관관계를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 CSR의 성공확률이 높아지려면 CG가 건전하여야 한다는 점, 광고선전비와 경상개발비 지출에 대한 관심과 투자도 이루어질 필요가 있다는 점, 그리고 이와 더불어 CSR 수상실적과 같은 지속적인 사회적 책임활동의 이행이 중요하다는 점을 시사하고 있다.
초록2 The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of corporate social responsibility(CSR)and CSR Characteristics on corporate social performances(CSP) and corporate financial performances(CFP). And this study also investigates the effects of the estimated CSP based on CSR Characteristics such as corporate governance(CG), record of CSR Award(CSRA) in Korea Economic Justice Institute Index, advertising, research and development(ARD), and control variables such as debt-equity ratio, corporate size on enhancement of the next years corporate financial performances(CFP; ROA, EBITDA, Tobin Q). To test hypothesis of the study 2SLS(stage least square) simultaneously equations model was applying by controlling CFP of the previous year as an endogenous explanatory variable. The findings of the study can be summarized as follows: First, it was found that CG, CSRA, ARD, and corporate size have an positive effect on CSP while debt-equity ratio is having an negative effect on the CSP. And this study also found that there was differential effect of the variables on CSP by type of sales growth and type of industrial safety. Second, there was positive effect of the estimated CSP on improvement of the next years CFP. As a result of the study, it is suggested that continuous CSR efforts help to improve the relationship in between company and stakeholders, and furthermore it will contribute to improve the next year’s CFP, and finally these all efforts will bring a successful CSR.
