초록1	본 연구의 목적은 점진적 복수할인(progressive multiple discounts)이 있는 경우에 단일기간 재고모형(single-period inventory model)을 교육하는 효과적인 모델인 무위험이익(riskless profit)에 입각한 통합적 접근법을 제시하는 것이다. 무위험이익에 입각한 통합적 접근법은 단일기간 재고모형을 교육하는 효과적인 교육모델로서 기존의 한계분석법이나 완전분석법에 비해 이익과 비용을 동시에 고려한 무위험이익을 이용함으로써 임의의 주문량에 대한 기대이익을 수요의 확률분포의 종류에 관계없이 간단한 폐쇄형 공식(closed-form formula)을 써서 쉽게 구하고 무위험이익으로부터 기대비용을 바로 구하여 계산의 정확성을 교차검증할 수 있다는 것이 잘 알려져 있다. 그런데 단일기간 재고모형을 교육하는 효과적인 설명모델에 관한 기존의 연구는 수량할인모델로서 전량할인(all-units discounts)이 있는 경우를 다루고 있다. 본 논문에서는 소매상(이 경우 newsvendor)이 제공하는 할인의 또 다른 형태로서 점진적 복수할인이 소비자에게 제공되는 경우에도 무위험이익을 이용한 통합적 접근법이 효과적으로 활용될 수 있음을 보인다.

초록2	In this paper, we propose an effective integrated approach based on the riskless profit for education of the single-period inventory model under the progressive multiple discounts. It is well-known that the integrated approach based on the riskless profit is a very effective approach for analysis and education of the single-period inventory model since the integrated approach uses the riskless profit which incorporates both profit and cost into the model to help inventory manager easily find the expected profit for any order quantity with the appropriate closed-form formula regardless of the probability distribution of demand and the expected cost can immediately be found by noting the relationship between the riskless profit and the expected profit. However, existing integrated approach for education of the single-period inventory model only deals with the model under an all-units discounts policy with regard to the quantity discounts. In this study we show that the integrated approach for education of the single-period inventory model can effectively be applied even to the single-period inventory model under the progressive multiple discounts. This contributes by extending applicability of the integrated approach based on the riskless profit.
