■ 초록 : The purpose of this paper is to review executive development and education programs in these two systems -public governmental sector and private business sector- in the US context in terms of the purpose, audiences, contents, process and method, suppliers and budget, administration, instructors or trainers, learning environment and technology and evaluation. As a result of comparison, the researcher found that the executive programs in public governmental sector and private business sector have more similarities and common challenges, rather than differences. Therefore, there are much room for partnership between public sector and private sector in executive programs and even beyond that purpose either at state or national level.'
