This study identified the knowledge creation process and its source based on Kant epistemology. The Kant’s perspective on knowledge creation is useful because he suggested the causal process to obtain a complete knowledge at the individual level. This paper operationalized Kant’s philosophical thoughts into psychological concepts such as theoretical knowledge, experiential knowledge, conceptualization, synthetic judgment, and knowledge creation.

This study surveyed and tested toward 413 employees working for information system companies. The result is that experiential and theoretical knowledge had a positive correlated to conceptualization and synthetic judgment is the function of conceptualization and theoretical knowledge. Especially synthetic judgment had a positive influence on knowledge creation. Through this result, this paper shows that individual’s knowledge is created by conceptualization and synthetic judgment on some matter in hand through theoretical and experiential knowledge the matter.

In conclusion, this study suggested how to lead and what antecedents can make a knowledge creation in the human resource management field. The implication and limitation of this research was also derived from the results.
